Dress up to the nines and join us at the prestigious Spanish Ballroom for an elegant evening of dancing on a 7500 sq feet floating wood dance floor, one of the largest dance spaces in the United States! The Grand Ball features live music by con Brio, the famous Fledermaus Quadrille #6, a Snow Ball dance, and a Grand March! Sandwiches, snacks, beer, wine, and champagne available for purchase at the cafe. Location/Details Glen Echo Park Spanish Ballroom: 7500 Sq Ft Dance Floor- One of the largest in the USA! Attire: Formal (white/black tie) encouraged; semi-formal allowed as well! Music: Featuring exquisite live Strauss and other music by the con Brio orchestra and a selection of Waltzes and other partner dances The Historic Spanish Ballroom and Glen Echo Park Schedule 7:30-8:00- Check-in for Viennese Waltz lesson (a nice selection of recorded waltzes will play during check-in for you to warm up prior the lesson) 8:00-8:45 pm- Viennese Waltz Lesson with Todd and Migle 8:45-9:10 pm- Check-in for the Ball. Enjoy walking to grounds of the beautiful Glen Echo Park pavilion, have a snack from the cafe, and see the line dancing event at the Bumper Park Pavilion next door as the sound check occurs for our live orchestra. 9:10 pm- Line up for Grand Marche 9:15 pm- Grand Marche with con Brio live music begins! 10:10 pm- announcements and Snowball Waltz mixer 11 pm- Fledermaus Quadrille #6 1215 am- Ball concludes Parking and Other Information Public parking (click for google maps) is available at the park or go to the Glen Echo Park website for more information and directions on the plentiful parking in back of the park area.
